Welcome. My name is Justine. I am 35yrs old. I have four daughters (and a husband) and I have severe asthma. I just thought I would make a wee website to share with you all. This is my first attempt so be patient with me. I hope you will find it useful and enjoyable. ( I have found it very enjoyable to make anyway). So welcome again to my website. Justine, or you can me justy but      (my nickname). My husband Arf calls me Hilda all the time. Call me what you like I have been just about called everything else before anway. Happy reading folks.

SMOKING WITH ASTHMA IS A PRETTY DUMB THING TO DO.

         

  • I have been troubled with asthma since I was a baby. In and out of hospital all my childhood. When I was 13yrs old I was a Chronic asthmatic and was in hospital for eight months (yip) as the Doctors could not get it under control. Well I suffered on had kids got married (yes in that order) and did not really realise how bad my asthma was until a Doctor told me that I (and my family) had just got so used to me being out of breath all the time. I just took all the inhalers, steroids, nebulisers anything they gave me and got on with it. Taking the kids to school (in the car) started to become a big issue because I did not no what the next morning would be like with the breathing. I started to get really bad about two years ago. There is good breathing days anymore. I have now been told by my GP that I have COPD and severe asthma and do you know why? It's because I smoke.  
                  (Pretty dumb or what)

Justine. Yes I hear you all. You must think that I am the craziest person around. Well    there's plenty like me. I have given them up a few times, but it's really hard to do. 

                                                                 

I don't think I would of got COPD but it was the smoking that caused it. Please anyone that smokes especially with a lung disease, give it up before it's too late. The Doctors are talking about oxygen for me now as my breathing (especially at night) is very bad. I can not even lie down and my hands, feet and face go numb too.      (Ditch those fags)
